As an artist I find myself drawing inspiration from my surroundings and inner feelings. My artwork is often about lived experiences whether they be emotional or mundane. I have painted since I was a young teenager. As I grew older however, I often had to put the paints aside while raising my family.As my family become more independant I now find more time to spend on my passion. For me art is fundamental to my existence. I also combine a love of art with a love for my community. This means I often instigate new initiatives in my area in the name of art.
