Yosemite Valley is a glacial valley in the western Sierra Nevada mountains of California's Yosemite National Park, carved out by the Merced River. The valley is about 8 miles (13 km) long and up to 8,000 feet (2,400 m) deep, surrounded by high granite summits such as Half Dome, El Capitan, and Cloud's Rest, and densely forested with pines.
About Jamie Pham
I am a full-time freelance photographer based out of Los Angeles, specializing in landscapes and nature. I am also the staff photographer at the Los Angeles Zoo and my photography can be seen regularly published in the Zoo Magazine, website and various other marketing materials. With a background in animal behavior and marine biology from UCLA, I had always envisioned myself as a Professor teaching and conducting research, but instead I opted to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion for photography. I am so happy, glad, and proud that it has become a reality.
